Jasper's story:

After a years at looking at different stallion to breed my maiden mare Rana to, I finally decided on the spunky 'Justa Shameless Beggar'. To cut a long story short, it was the best choice I ever made!

Rana was Artificially Inseminated at Mossman Park Stud on Melbourne Cup Day 2008, and this was the beginning of an amazing journey! After Rana was inseminated, I arrived to bring Rana home with me, but she had other ideas. She didn't want to leave Beggar (she was in love!), which resulted in Rana having a floating accident that could have gone horribly wrong but thankfully didn't, and no serious injuries were sustained. Fortunately Rana never aborted her precious foal from the stress she endured.

Rana arrived home safe and sound and the months ahead were an experience I will never forget. The first kick she received from baby was when she was about 5 months, and boy did he get her a beauty! She grunted as if to say "ouch, what in the hell was that?"

Into the final weeks of her pregnancy, she ended up 1 month overdue, and finally at 9.30pm on Melbourne Cup Day 2009 she graced us with a beautiful colt with 2 blue eyes who we named 'Jasper' - he was everything I could have ever wished for!

Beautiful Karen at Mossman Park gave Jasper the perfect show name 'SWEET LITTLE BEGGAR' and that he is!! He begs for kisses and cuddles from everyone that visits him at home, a very special little boy he is.

We have a special bond that will last forever and I can't thank Karen, Beggar and Rana enough for Jasper being in my life! I wish I could experience this all over again you know!
